Elizabeth A. Thomas, MS, LPC

Founder & Owner

Elizabeth A. Thomas is the founder and owner of Loving Me Is Key!, a trauma-informed mental health and forensic services practice established in 2020. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in trauma recovery, substance abuse treatment, and court-involved mental health, Elizabeth brings a powerful blend of clinical expertise and lived experience to her work.

Her journey into the mental health field is deeply personal. As a survivor of childhood trauma, Elizabeth understands what it means to feel unheard, unsupported, and overwhelmed by emotional pain. Her own healing journey inspired her mission: to create a safe, empowering space where others can reclaim their voice, rebuild their confidence, and learn to love themselves again.

Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and has specialized training in trauma-informed care, substance use disorders, and forensic mental health. She has worked extensively with individuals navigating addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and the emotional wounds that often accompany substance use. Her approach integrates compassion, accountability, and real-world strategies to help clients break harmful cycles and build healthier lives.

She is also actively pursuing advanced certification as a Forensic Mental Health Evaluator, expanding her ability to support individuals involved in the legal system with clarity, neutrality, and professionalism.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth has supported adults, teens, families, and court-involved clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, relationship conflict, and emotional dysregulation. Her therapeutic style is warm, direct, and deeply human—blending evidence-based practices with genuine understanding. Clients describe her as someone who “gets it,” someone who listens without judgment and challenges them with honesty and care.

Elizabeth founded Loving Me Is Key! with a vision of creating a practice where healing is not just clinical—it is transformational. Her guiding belief is reflected in the company’s signature message:

“Unlocking the strength within you — because loving you truly is the key.”

Today, Elizabeth continues to expand her practice, offering individual therapy, substance abuse support, court-ordered services, forensic evaluations, and group programs designed to promote emotional wellness and generational healing across Pennsylvania. Her work is rooted in compassion, integrity, and the unwavering belief that every person has the power to rise.
